If you’re like me, the following rings true:
• You have “awesome” ideas
• You want to make them happen
• You want results as quick as possible
• You’ll do whatever you need to do to make it happen
You may find that when you’re “making it happen” some things work and others, well, don’t. But ultimately you’re not getting to where you want to be financially. This was me about a year and half ago.
What I learned was a successful business is as successful as the system you are relying on.
The system for most entrepreneurs is “build it and pray they will come”. This is the reason most entrepreneurs find themselves spinning their wheels.
The problem is the system. Business systems aren’t sexy but they make money. If you have a big social media following or the ability to generate leads, but can’t convert them into paying customers, then you’ve got a problem. No matter how many social media followers you have or leads you generate, if you can’t convert them the business is going to stay on life support.
The good news there are 3 ways to get results quickly in your business. There isn’t an easy route, everything requires work and dedication. But every business needs to take practical aggressive steps.
“Success is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.” – Jim Rohn
I did a lot of hustling backwards, spending countless hours on activities that didn’t produce the kind of revenue I was looking for in my business. Looking back I still feel the pain from all those mistakes.
However, you can reap the benefits from all the mistakes I made. Here’s the plan to get results quickly:
1. Invest in people that have been where you want to go.
In the process of trying to come up with a plan to take my business to the next level, I hired my first business mentor and invested $10,000. (I continue to invest in a business mentor)
Yup, you read that right. It was definitely outside of my comfort zone, but I knew I needed help pulling everything together. People who have created multiple 6 figure and 7 figure business models have a 6th sense for understanding how to make it work for your business.
When you pay people who have been where you want to go and have done what you want to do, you go to the next level. The fastest way to go where you want to go to is to hire someone who’s been there and done that. This is true for business or other areas in your life.
2. Ideas alone don’t make money.
Remember if you’re anything like me, you probably have several ideas and I bet your ideas are brilliant too! Ideas come a dime a dozen. Ideas get you super excited, however there’s a big difference between coming up with a brilliant idea and generating significant income from it.
Ideas + Implementation = Income
Actions dictate outcomes and the action you take in your business creates traction for your ideas. I’ll give you the steps to take, but you have to do the work.
3. Perfect delays getting you paid.
Done is better than perfect. When you’re creating and launching your product don’t stress over making it perfect. You’ll never get everything right the first go around, so don’t stress over it. We are our worst critique. Get that product out there to sell, people can’t buy what you don’t have for sell. I bet you have great relationships with people that are ready to buy any product or service you create. Don’t get hung up on getting everything just right. You can perfect it as you move forward and grow your business.
